We build beds for children in need, ensuring that NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®
About SHP
Sleep in Heavenly Peace had its start like many other charities, in a garage. It was Christmas time, a time of joy and happiness, a time of giving and love, but also a time of bitter, cold weather and snowstorms. A project, that was started with the build of one bed for a single family developed into something a whole lot more. The wood left over from the first bunk, another idea was created. “Who else could benefit from this bunk”?
SHP is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our federal ID is 46-4346568 in the United States. Download 501(c)3 document.
SHP has a variety of ways you can be involved with our mission that No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town!
Bunks Across America is an annual event where local chapters across the nation participate in the largest bed building event in a single day.
Move4Beds is our new program that allows you to support our cause of partnering with the community to build bunk beds by creating events in your community or pledging to help those in your community raising funds for SHP through moving!
The Disaster Relief Fund provides a new way to help those in need who’ve been impacted by a recent disaster.
Many other programs exist to help us with the cause of child bedlessness from sponsoring a build, creating a team to deliver beds, Eagle Scout projects, or getting your company to sponsor a build or delivery to help your local community.
